Trina J. Davis, Ph.D.

Dr. Trina J. Davis is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture. Dr. Davis was President of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) from 2007 to 2009 (http://www.iste.org). She has extensive experience in educational technology and mathematics. Dr. Davis currently teaches graduate courses that focus on the evaluation and implementation of electronic learning materials, teaching strategies: patterns of learning, and professional development strategies for teachers.

Dr. Davis has provided leadership on innovative technology programs in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University since 1997, including a program recently funded by the National Science Foundation ($2.8M), “Preservice Teachers’ Knowledge for Teaching Algebra for Equity in the Middle Grades.” She is the Co-Director of Glasscock Island (in Second Life) and serves as Co-PI on the grant.

Her research includes statewide school technology studies as well as investigations related to teaching and learning in online and 3-D virtual environments. 

Trina Davis continues to champion issues related to digital equity.
