Tim Elliott is a Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University. 

• Joined the TAMU faculty in the summer of 2006 
• Training Director for the APA-approved Counseling Psychology doctoral program at TAMU, 2008 - 2011 
• Obtained Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1987
• Completed internship at the Seattle Veterans Administration Medical Center in Seattle, WA
• Research has examined adjustment processes among persons living with chronic and disabling health conditions, with particular emphasis on the role of social problem-solving abilities in adjustment
• Over 200 professional publications and continued federal funding for 15 years (including support for five randomized clinical trials)
• Co-editor of the first edition of the Handbook of Rehabilitation Psychology (2000)
• Current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Psychology
• Editor of Rehabilitation Psychology, published by the American Psychological Association, 2006 - 2011
• Served as an Associate Editor for Rehabilitation Psychology, the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology, and the Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings
• Fellow of three APA divisions and holds board certification (ABPP) in rehabilitation psychology
• Member, APA Council of Representatives, elected 2010
